Comprehensive Bio
Yael Horowitz, RN, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in neurosurgery. Her primary focus is adult spine surgery, but she also enjoys caring for pediatric and general neurosurgical patients and supporting their families throughout the treatment process.
Yael began her career as a Registered Nurse in the Medical ICU in Connecticut before returning to New York, where she worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Pre-Surgical Testing at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. There, she developed a strong passion for preparing and educating patients before their surgeries.
She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization from Molloy University.
In her current role, Yael provides comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after their neurosurgical and spine procedures. She has a particular interest in patient and family education and is committed to ensuring that every patient feels supported, informed, and comfortable throughout their surgical experience. She believes strongly that knowledge is empowering and that collaboration among patients, families, and the healthcare team leads to the best possible outcomes.
Yael is always available to assist with patient needs and is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through every step of the care process.
Along with her husband, Yael lives on Long Island. The couple actively participates in the community where they raised their four children—each pursuing their own careers.
